When to Order Korean Gifts for Christmas Delivery in Australia

Part of the jinjja.shop guides — plain answers about independent Korean makers, for buyers in Australia. Last updated 27 October 2026.

How far ahead should I order Korean gifts for Christmas?

Plan for at least 10–14 days of transit time from the moment your parcel leaves South Korea, then add a personal buffer on top of that. Korean public holidays, a busy period at Australian customs, or a peak surge in EMS volumes can each extend that window by a few days. Working backwards from the date you need the gift in hand — not Christmas Day itself, but the last day you could receive it — gives you a realistic order deadline that accounts for the unexpected.

There is no universally safe last day to order that applies to every situation, because the clock does not start until the parcel actually departs Korea. For a single-brand order that can be a matter of days after you purchase; for a multi-brand order it can be longer (see below). The safest approach is to order earlier than you think you need to, and track your parcel once the EMS number arrives by email.

Why do multi-brand orders take longer to leave Korea?

Every item on jinjja.shop is made by an independent Korean brand and ships from South Korea. What happens next depends on how many brands are in your basket.

  • One brand: that brand packs your order and sends it directly to you from Korea. The parcel can leave relatively quickly once the brand processes it.
  • Two or more brands: each brand sends its items separately to jinjja.shop’s consolidation partner in Ilsan, near Seoul. Once every brand’s items have arrived in Ilsan, everything is repacked into a single box before it leaves Korea as one parcel. jinjja.shop waits for all brands’ items to arrive before the parcel is dispatched — so if one brand takes a little longer to send its items to Ilsan, the whole order waits.

This means a multi-brand order has two stages before transit even begins: each brand’s own processing time, and then the consolidation step in Ilsan. When ordering multiple brands close to Christmas, factor in this extra stage when counting back from your required delivery date.

How do I track my order once it has shipped?

Once your parcel leaves Korea, jinjja.shop emails you an EMS tracking number. You can use that number on both the Korea Post tracking site and the Australia Post tracking site to follow your parcel’s progress. All parcels travel by EMS (Korea Post) and are handed to Australia Post for delivery within Australia.

If your order has not arrived after 14 days and tracking is not giving you a clear picture, you can contact jinjja.shop at hello@jinjja.shop and they will follow it up directly. Full details are on the jinjja.shop shipping page.

Can I send a Korean gift to a PO Box or a remote address in Australia?

Delivery is available to street addresses and PO Boxes anywhere in Australia, so location is not a barrier. One important note: once a brand has dispatched their items, the delivery address cannot be changed. Double-check the address carefully at checkout before you complete your order, particularly if you are sending a gift directly to the recipient rather than to yourself.

Where can I browse Korean gifts to order for Christmas?

All of the independent, owner-run Korean brands available on jinjja.shop are listed on the brands index page. Every brand on the site makes its products in South Korea. You can also visit the shipping information page for the full details on how orders are sent and what to expect during transit.

How does shipping from jinjja.shop work?

jinjja.shop is a marketplace for independent Korean brands based in Brisbane, Queensland. Orders are placed in Australian dollars, shipping is a flat A$9.90 per order however many brands are in the basket, and most orders arrive in about 10 to 14 days, sent by EMS from Korea and delivered by Australia Post.
