Miniminimi — small Korean traditional objects with wit

What is Miniminimi?
Miniminimi (Korean name: 미니미니미) is an independent Korean brand that makes small everyday objects inspired by Korean traditional patterns and cultural heritage. Each piece takes a familiar form — a bookmark, a fridge magnet, a card wallet, a pocket charm — and gives it details drawn from the visual language of Korea’s craft and decorative traditions.
The range has been described as the wittiest line on jinjja.shop. The objects are compact, practical and specific: a cat that appears to sit on a closed book, a medicine chest the size of a fridge magnet, a wallet that doubles as a keychain. All products are designed and made in South Korea.
Where do the patterns and references come from?
Miniminimi draws on Korean decorative traditions that appear across hanbok fabric, old lacquerware and historic architecture. The card wallet patterns include motifs from significant sites: the Irworobongdo is a well-known folding screen depicting the sun, moon and five mountain peaks that appeared behind the throne in Korean royal courts; the Junghwajeon is the main throne hall at Deoksugung Palace in Seoul; Bongjeongsa is one of Korea’s oldest surviving wooden structures. The medicine cabinet magnet references the yakjang (약장), a chest of small square drawers used in traditional Korean herbal medicine practice to store different ingredients separately.
