Ungyeong
The king’s hat, in disguise
A key ring modelled on the gat, the horsehair hat worn by Joseon-dynasty kings when they travelled in disguise. The gat’s ornate chin cords are reinterpreted in two-tone acrylic beads, and the sejodae (the cord of the royal robe) becomes a tassel.

About the maker
Ungyeong (운경) makes Korean traditional accessories in-house in Korea: gat key chains, norigae and saekdong bags, reworking forms from Joseon dress for everyday use.
